These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and the operator of Lifvara for using Lifvara. Please read them with the Privacy Policy, which explains how your personal information is handled.
1. Who we are
Lifvara was previously called Lifestack, and you may still see that name in some places while the change is finished. Quenori is a brand name under which Lifvara is published. Neither Lifvara nor Quenori is a company.
Lifvara is operated by an individual, Akshay Sunil Shinde, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India ("Lifvara", "we", "us"). Lifvara is not run by a company.
Email: remote.dev.codes@gmail.com.
Postal address for correspondence and legal notices: 406, Golden Park, Kalyan, Thane, Maharashtra – 421301, India
2. Agreeing to these Terms
You agree to these Terms by ticking the box that says so when you create an account, whether with an email address and password or with Google or GitHub, or when we ask you to agree to an updated version. Signing in with Google or GitHub is not by itself agreement. We record which version you agreed to and when.
If you don't agree, don't create an account or use Lifvara. If you already have an account and don't agree to an updated version, you can still download your data and delete your account.
3. Who can use Lifvara
- You must be at least 18 years old. When you agree to these Terms, you confirm that you are.
- You must be able to enter into a binding agreement where you live, and not be barred by law from using Lifvara.
- One person per account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Lifvara relies on your confirmation of your age and doesn't verify it with documents. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will suspend it and delete it with its data, unless the law requires us to keep something. If you believe someone under 18 is using Lifvara, write to remote.dev.codes@gmail.com.
4. Your account
- Give accurate information, including an email address you control, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secure and don't use it anywhere else. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, the security of that account matters too.
- Tell us promptly at remote.dev.codes@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account. You can sign out of every device in Settings › Sign-in & security.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, except where it results from our failure to keep Lifvara reasonably secure.
5. What Lifvara is
Lifvara is a personal productivity app for habits, goals, time tracking, calendar, notes and pages, nutrition and money records. It is a tool for keeping your own records, with Friends, an optional feature for keeping goals with other people (section 10). Features are described in the app. PDF statement import is not available today (section 12).
6. Your content
"Your content" is everything you put into Lifvara: records, notes, pages, images, messages and anything else.
- You own your content. These Terms don't transfer any of it to us.
- The permission we need to run Lifvara. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content, only as needed to run Lifvara for you: to show it to you, to show it to people you choose to share it with or publish it to, to keep backups, and to provide features you use. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups and logs until they expire, copies we must keep after removing content (section 17), and content you shared that other people still hold.
- We don't sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
- You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to put it into Lifvara, and to share or publish anything you share or publish.
7. Uploaded files and images
- You can upload images to your profile, notes and pages. Only upload images you have the right to use.
- Images in notes and pages can be opened by anyone who has their direct storage link, even though Lifvara only shows them in the app to people who can see that note or page. Don't upload images you need to keep strictly private. The Privacy Policy explains this.
- We may refuse files that are too large, of an unsupported type, or that break these Terms.
8. Published pages
- Publishing a page makes it readable by anyone who has its link, including its images, until you unpublish or delete it. Lifvara asks search engines not to index published pages, but can't stop people from copying or forwarding what they can read.
- Don't publish other people's personal information without their permission, or anything you don't have the right to share.
9. Shared classic notes
- Classic notes you shared earlier stay shared with those people, who can view and edit them. Classic notes can't be shared with new people.
- If you delete your account, classic notes you own are deleted for everyone you shared them with. Edits you made to someone else's shared note stay part of their note.
10. Friends
Friends lets you connect with people, keep goals with them, form groups, send messages and share pages with a group. It is optional.
- What's shared. Being friends shares only your name, @handle and photo. Goals, check-ins, linked habits, messages, progress and shared pages reach other people when you share them. The Privacy Policy lists who sees what.
- Groups. Everyone in a group can see its members, goals, messages and shared pages. People who join later can see goals and shared pages, and messages from when they joined. Share only what you're happy for the whole group to see.
- Invite links. Anyone with your invite link can send you a friend request. You're friends only if you accept.
- Finding people. Nobody can find you by your @handle unless you turn that on.
- Messages. You can delete messages you sent. Someone may have read or copied a message first, and a report keeps its copy.
- Other people's copies. What you share can be remembered, screenshotted or copied. Don't share anything you need to keep to yourself.
- Your conduct. Section 11 applies to everything in Friends, including how you treat other people. Don't add someone to anything to harass them.
- Blocking and reporting. You can block anyone, and report people and content from inside Lifvara. We may remove content or suspend accounts under section 17.
- Your messages and us. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We don't monitor conversations. The Privacy Policy lists the few cases in which we see message content.
- Group owners. A group's owner can remove members and take down shared pages. If the owner leaves, the longest-standing member takes over.
11. Acceptable use
Use Lifvara lawfully and in a way that doesn't harm other people or the service.
You must not host, display, upload, change, publish, send, store, share or link to anything that:
- belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use;
- is obscene, pornographic or paedophilic, invades someone's privacy, including their bodily privacy, insults or harasses on the basis of gender, is racially or ethnically objectionable, relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or promotes enmity between groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
- harms children in any way, or sexually exploits or abuses them;
- shows anyone sexually or intimately without their consent, including an image altered to look that way;
- infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly spreads misinformation or anything patently false or misleading;
- impersonates another person, or misrepresents who you are;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries, or public order, incites an offence, prevents the investigation of an offence, or insults another nation;
- contains a virus or other code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit any computer resource;
- is an online game that hasn't been verified as permissible, or advertises one; or
- breaks any law.
You also must not:
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone;
- send spam, chain messages or unsolicited promotions;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, test our security without our written permission, or get around rate limits or access controls;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download Lifvara, other than your own data through the download in Settings;
- overload or disrupt the service, or create accounts by automated means;
- reverse engineer the service, except as the law allows.
12. AI features and third-party services
- PDF statement import would use Google's Gemini API to read transactions from a statement you choose to import. It is not available today and is switched off. If we switch it on, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy first. If it becomes available: information it reads can be wrong or incomplete, and you must review every transaction before saving it.
- Sign-in with Google or GitHub and the providers that host and run Lifvara (listed in the Privacy Policy) are run by other companies. Their own terms apply to your use of their services, and Lifvara depends on them being available. We're not responsible for their services, except where we're responsible for choosing and instructing them.
13. Health, nutrition, fitness, money and productivity information
Lifvara works with the numbers you give it. It is not professional advice of any kind.
- Not medical, nutritional or fitness advice. Nutrition targets are estimates calculated with a standard formula from what you enter, and food values may be inaccurate. They aren't a recommendation for you. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have or have had an eating disorder.
- Not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Money features record and calculate from what you enter or import (totals, net worth, loan schedules, card balances). They can contain mistakes, and Lifvara isn't connected to your bank. Check anything important against your bank's or lender's records, and get professional advice before making decisions.
- Imported information. Transactions read from CSV or Excel files can be wrong or incomplete. Lifvara asks you to review rows before saving, but you're responsible for checking what you save.
- Productivity features help you keep track; they don't guarantee any result.
14. Free service and future paid features
Lifvara is free at launch, and we don't sell subscriptions or show advertising. We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we will tell you in advance and publish the prices and terms that apply to them before you can buy anything. Nothing you use for free will start costing you money without your explicit agreement.
15. Changes to Lifvara and availability
- We aim to keep Lifvara available and your data safe, but it may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we don't promise any particular level of availability. Lifvara is run by one person.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature that holds your content, or close Lifvara, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance where we reasonably can, so you can download your data.
16. Reporting content and complaints
- Grievance Officer: Akshay Sunil Shinde, at remote.dev.codes@gmail.com or the postal address in section 1. The operator personally handles complaints.
- To report someone or something in Friends, use Report beside it. To report a published page, use Report this page at its foot. For anything else that you think breaks these Terms or the law, write to remote.dev.codes@gmail.com with the link and what is wrong. You don't need an account.
- Urgent complaints. If content shows you, or someone you act for, naked or in a sexual act, is an image altered to look like that, or impersonates you, put URGENT in the subject and include the link. We act on these first and as fast as we can. Lifvara is run by one person, so we can't promise a reply at any particular hour.
- Copyright and other intellectual property complaints: write to remote.dev.codes@gmail.com with your name and contact details, the work you say is infringed, the link to the content, a statement that you believe in good faith that its use isn't authorised, and a statement that your complaint is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the owner. We may remove or disable the content and tell the person who posted it, who may respond.
- We aren't obliged to monitor content, but we may review content that is reported to us or that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or the law.
- If you're in India, the IT Rules apply to Lifvara and you're unhappy with the Grievance Officer's decision, you may be able to appeal to a Grievance Appellate Committee.
17. Removal, suspension and termination
- You can stop using Lifvara and delete your account at any time (section 18).
- If you don't follow these Terms or the Privacy Policy, we have the right to suspend or end your access immediately, to remove or disable access to content that breaks them, or both.
- If what you do breaks the law, you may be liable to penalty or punishment under the Information Technology Act, 2000 or other law.
- If it involves an offence that the law requires to be reported, including under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, we will report it to the appropriate authority.
- We use these rights where you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if you are under 18, if the law requires it, or if your use creates a real risk of harm to others or to Lifvara.
- Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why, give you a chance to respond, and let you download your data, unless doing so would create a risk of harm or break the law.
- A suspended account can't sign in, can't be found by its @handle or reached by its invite link, and its published pages stop being public. You can still write to us to ask for a copy of your data, or to ask us to look at a decision again.
- If we remove content, we keep a copy for at least 180 days for any investigation, as the Privacy Policy explains. Closing an account deletes it as section 18 describes, unless the law requires us to keep something.
18. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Data & privacy, even if you haven't agreed to updated Terms. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted straight away, what other people lose (such as classic notes you shared), and what copies may remain for a limited time. If you are closing your account, download anything you want to keep first: nothing can be recovered afterwards.
19. Security and responsible disclosure
Keep your sign-in details safe and don't try to get around Lifvara's security. If you find a security problem, please tell us at remote.dev.codes@gmail.com and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Don't access or change other people's data while looking.
20. Our intellectual property
Lifvara's software and design belong to the operator or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Lifvara as intended, and no other rights in it, including no right to use the Lifvara or Quenori names or logos. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
21. What we're responsible for
We provide Lifvara with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, Lifvara is provided "as is" and "as available", and we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that calculations, estimates or imported information will be accurate.
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, business or opportunity;
- we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on calculations, estimates or imported information in Lifvara (section 13);
- our total responsibility to you for all other claims about Lifvara is limited to INR 5,000, because Lifvara is free.
None of this applies to, and nothing in these Terms excludes or limits, our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for deliberate wrongdoing or gross negligence, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude or limit. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have as a consumer or under data protection law where you live.
22. Claims about your content
If someone makes a legal claim against us because of content you published or shared in breach of these Terms, you agree to help us respond to it, and, to the extent the law of the place you live allows, to cover the reasonable costs that result. This doesn't apply to the extent the claim is caused by us.
23. Disputes and governing law
Before starting a formal claim, please write to us at remote.dev.codes@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
Any dispute can be heard by a court in India that has jurisdiction under Indian law, which for a claim against us will normally be a court in Maharashtra. This is not an exclusive choice: you can also use any court, consumer commission or other forum that the law where you live makes available to you. These Terms contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Each version has its own version number and effective date on this page. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app and ask you to agree to the new version before you continue using your account. If you don't agree, you can download your data and delete your account instead. Where we reasonably can, we will publish a material change at least 14 days before it takes effect.
25. General
- If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over Lifvara if your rights aren't reduced; we'll tell you first, and you can delete your account instead.
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Lifvara. They are written in English.
